A Note from Anna Laan

My name is Anna Laan, and I am the founder of this shop.

I created the shop to offer genuine Imperial Porcelain Factory porcelain to collectors and customers in the United States, with careful attention to provenance, authenticity, and service.

The Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg is the only maker we specialise in. Many Americans know the factory by its former name, Lomonosov. Our focus allows us to know its collections in detail — from the history of individual designs and shapes to the techniques used in their decoration.

The factory’s story

An official partner of the factory

We are an official partner of the Imperial Porcelain Factory. The pieces we offer are current factory production and are accompanied by the factory’s own documentation.

Before an order is shipped, we can provide photographs of the actual piece, including the factory mark on its base.

Shipped from Europe

Our inventory is held at our own warehouse in Estonia. Orders to the United States are therefore shipped directly from Europe rather than making an additional journey from Russia to the US.

Each piece is carefully packed by hand and insured for its full value. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during transit, we will replace it.

Our own inventory

We keep the porcelain ourselves rather than shipping directly from a supplier. This allows us to inspect individual pieces and provide accurate photographs and information when needed.

We can, for example, show how a pattern appears in natural light, provide a closer view of the gold work, or photograph the proportions and details of a particular piece.

Authenticity

Cobalt Net is among the factory’s most frequently copied patterns. Some inexpensive imitations use printed decals rather than the original decoration.

Genuine Imperial Porcelain Factory pieces bear the factory mark on the base and feature hand-applied gold, with the subtle variations characteristic of brushwork.

We are happy to provide additional photographs or information about any piece before purchase.
