A small white goat in hard-paste porcelain, finished with 22-karat gold. The gold picks out the horns and hooves, and golden curls suggest a soft coat. The shape is by T. L. Charina, and the Golden Goat pattern is by T. V. Afanasyeva.
The Goat is the sign of 2027 in the Eastern calendar, and the Imperial Porcelain Factory marked the year with a small, limited New Year series.
The figurine measures 10.2 × 3.9 × 7.5 cm (4 × 1.5 × 3 in). Its spare lines suit a holiday table, a desk, or a display cabinet, and as a New Year gift it comes with a wish for good fortune.
Wash by hand only; keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave. The factory mark is on the base. Made in St. Petersburg, Russia.
