Salt, pepper, and mustard share one stand in this four-piece set. It is hard-paste porcelain from the Imperial Porcelain Factory, on the Youth shape, with Cobalt Net applied as an underglaze decal and painted 22-karat gold.
The set takes up 18 × 7.2 cm (7.1 × 2.8 in) and is 8.7 cm (3.4 in) tall.
Anna Leporskaya (1900–1982), who designed the shape, was a painter, designer, and porcelain sculptor and an Honored Artist of the RSFSR. She studied under Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and Kazimir Malevich and spent 1948 to 1982 in the factory’s art laboratory. Cobalt Net is the work of Anna Yatskevich (1904–1952), a porcelain painter at the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory from 1932 to 1952, who received the Order of the Red Star in 1944.
Wash by hand; the set is not dishwasher safe.
