This tea set pairs Anna Yatskevich’s Cobalt Net with the Dome shape by Yu. F. Troitsky. It is made in bone china at the Imperial Porcelain Factory, with the pattern applied as a decal and finished with hand-painted details. The set has 14 pieces and serves six; it weighs 2,845 g (6.3 lb) and has been in production since 2012.
Cobalt Net is the factory’s signature pattern. It takes its cue from the painting on the Own service, the first Russian porcelain service, which D. I. Vinogradov, the creator of Russian porcelain, made in the mid-18th century for Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. Yatskevich worked through many variations before settling, in 1946, on the final design: an exact geometric rhythm of intersecting blue lines set with gold stars.
